(Recent collaborative output with Cameron Jones, Jose Goicoechea, Ian Fallis, John McGrady and Philip Mountford)

Prof Cameron Jones (Monash, Australia). Profs Jones and Aldridge were co-founders and directors of the Centre for Fundamental and Applied Main Group Chemistry while at Cardiff University, and have been involved in collaborations for >10 years on synthetic and structural aspects of low coordinate/low valent main group and transition metal chemistry. Prof Aldridge spent 6 months on sabbatical as a University Visiting Professor at Monash in 2012.

Prof Jose Goicoechea (Oxford). A recently instituted collaboration on new approaches to bond activation and catalysis involves the Aldridge and Goicoechea groups. DPhil student Alexa Caise and new PDRA Jamie Hicks are involved with this work.

Dr Ian Fallis (Cardiff). The Fallis and Aldridge groups collaborate on aspects of sensor design and amplification for neutral and anionic analytes. The collaboration has been supported by EPSRC for >5 years and also involves interaction with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), Porton Down.

Prof Philip Mountford (Oxford). A recent collaboration with Prof Mountford and Prof Jones, funded by the Leverhulme Trust, has been looking at developing the chemistry of early transition metal and lanthanide boryl complexes.

Prof John McGrady (Oxford). The McGrady and Aldridge groups collaborate on a number of combined experimental/quantum chemical studies of sigma bond coordination and activation.
