CURRENT POST-DOCS

Current post-doctoral research associates in the Aldridge group are Andrey Protchenko, Christian Sindlinger and Evgeny Kolychev. Jamie Hicks will arrive from Australia in December 2016 and Petra Vasko From Finland in January 2017.

Dr Andrey Protchenko was born in Russia and is a graduate from Moscow State University. He completed his PhD with Prof Michail Bochkarev in Nizhny Novgorod and conducted post-doctoral studies with Prof Michael Lappert on the chemistry of lanthanide complexes in non-common oxidation states such as +2 for La and +4 for Ce. He joined the Aldridge group in September 2009, and now is working on the chemistry boryl complexes of Group 13 and 14 elements.

Dr Evgeny Kolychev joined the group in May 2014 as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow and is working on application of N heterocyclic boryl ligands for design of Main Group element complexes with transition metal reactivity. Evgeny was born in Orsk, Russia and studied chemistry at Moscow State University, were he received his PhD degree in 2011. Before coming to Oxford Evgeny worked with Prof Matthias Tamm at TU Braunschweig (2011 to 2014).

Dr Christian Sindlinger joined the group on a Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in early 2016, having completed his PhD studies in Tubingen under the supervision of Prof Lars Wesemann.
