Current post-doctoral research associates in the Aldridge group are Andrey Protchenko, Jamie Hicks, Petra Vasko and Maria Fuentes-Dominguez.

Dr Andrey Protchenko is a graduate of Moscow State University. He completed his PhD with Prof Michail Bochkarev in Nizhny Novgorod and post-doctoral studies with Prof Michael Lappert on the chemistry of lanthanide complexes in non-common oxidation states such as +2 for La and +4 for Ce. He joined the Aldridge group in September 2009, and works on the chemistry boryl complexes of Group 13 and 14 elements.

Dr Jamie Hicks joined the group in December 2016 on a joint project with the Goicoechea group sponsored by SCG Chemicals. Jamie completed his PhD in the Jones group at Monash University on Melbourne and was a 2016 winner of the Reaxys Prize for his doctoral work.

Dr Petra Vasko is originally from Finland and joined the group in Jan 2017 on a Magnus Ehrnrooth Fellowship, having completed her doctoral studies at the University of Jyvaskyla (prizes awarded for correct pronunciation!). Her PhD included both computational and experimental studies, the latter in collaboration with the Power group at UC Davis.

Dr M. Angeles Fuentes joined the group in June 2017 on a joint project with Prof Paul Kamer (Likat, Rostock) on FLP chemistry and catalysis. Previously, she completed her PhD studies with Prof Pedro J. Pérez and Dr Ana Caballero at the University of Huelva (Spain), she moved in 2014 to work on main group bimetallic systems with Prof Robert E. Mulvey at Strathclyde.
